East Finchley Festival is north London’s longest running community festival and takes place this year on 19th June in Cherry Tree Wood. It’s operated by non-profit East Finchley Festival CIC and is always free to attend.
The festival requires dozens of volunteers on the day to sell raffle tickets in one-hour shifts or to supervise areas or marshall crowds. If you think you could help, please click here to volunteer or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
East Finchley Neighbourhood Support – a grassroots community group, originally formed by members of the East Finchley Community Facebook group – provides help for N2 residents with shopping, picking up prescriptions, dog walking etc. and provides a friendly ear on the end of the phone.
EFNS is runningThe N2 Food Project to provide chilled meals to takeaway and reheat, for anyone who needs a helping hand – no referrals needed. A team of volunteers cook at Martin School, N2, at the weekend and hand out meals from The Phoenix Cinema on Tuesday mornings.
